The Act :

The Act Fighting againt Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains came into force on January 1, 2024. The Act will extend the existing import ban to goods produced using forced labor, in addition to imposing a new reporting obligation on thousands of Canadian companies. The first annual report from commercial enterprises is due to the government by May 31, 2024.
